Synopsis: The teaser trailer is about a teenage girl who sells her soul to an evil spirit which is yet to be discovered and who the audience sees as a dark figure. The black figure causes the girl pain and suffering, to remind her there is no turning back; she is his possession, this acts as a mind trick - no scars are seen in the following scene. Throughout the film the figure communicates with the girl. As the girl opens a closet to put her blood soaked bag down, she sees her dead self in the closet and instantly receives a tap on the shoulder and as she turns back fearfully, the scene is ended. The girl is portrayed as vulnerable and the evil spirit is portrayed as someone who takes revenge of this and uses her as his discretion. The suffering of the girl incurs in the opening scene and acts as a psychological mind trick. In scene 2, the audience sees her with her friends, no scars or marks are visible, but were seen by audiences during the attack. In addition, the girl’s dead body in the closet also acts as a mind trick but only for the girl and is used for theatrical effect. Intended audience The target audience for our teaser trailer is between 16-25, and so it is the audiences we think are likely to enjoy our trailer, if not a bigger age range. Also this teaser trailer will target audiences that enjoy watching psychological horror films and thrillers. Ideas: Main events · All the scenes will be filmed indoors, as we do not have access to soft boxes. E.g. ever light and B flash lighting that can light up large areas. · The opening scene, where the girl washes her face and sees the figure will be filmed in the toilets. · As the girl was her face it will be film in a low angle shot, close-up with her head reflected just less than half way in the mirror and the figure seen in a long shot in a minor reflection. The shots also introduce the main meaning and support the continuity hypothesis. The shots also introduce the main character, for that girl and the ‘villain’ to audiences and their persona. · The shots where the girl is suffering will be filmed in a stairway. For the reason that the tight corners and isolated areas, will create a heavy cast of shadows and low key lighting and will give the shot a sinister and darker meaning. These shots will also be used for a dramatic effect to have an emotional effect on audiences and so supports the conventions of horror teaser trailers.
